At the Annual Ball the University of Lapland donated 10\u00a0000 \u20ac for the activities supporting students\u2019 wellness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2013 I withdraw the amount from the budget allocated to the rector\u2019s work. As far as possible, each of us should prioritize resources for the wellness and community of the members of our university community. The resource can be for example knowledge, time or money, says the Rector of the University Antti Syv\u00e4j\u00e4rvi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The donation is one way to promote wellness. The sum is for students to implement their own wellness activities and ideas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2013&nbsp;The news of the donation was a wonderful birthday present for LYY, and we are grateful for it. The donation shows importance to the matter and brings concreteness to the will to invest in wellness. We look forward to decide how we will distribute the amount and what kind of ideas our students will have, says Krista Per\u00e4l\u00e4, the chair of the executive board of LYY.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The University of Lapland\u2019s theme for actions in 2023 is supporting wellness.
