Ulapland Christmas 2.0
We will celebrate the end of the year with ULapland Christmas 2.0 online event on Wednesday 16 December at 13:00 – remotely and safely.
The laid-back and warm celebration features, for example, music by the Music School Pop Up, Christmassy interviews, and Christmas video greetings from our staff and students.
The celebration will be streamed live on YouTube and its estimated duration is about one hour or a bit longer. The language of the event is both Finnish and English. A link to the livestream will be published on the Intranet and sent via email to staff and students of the university before the event. Please note that the celebration is a live event and no replay will be available, so mark the date in your calendar and join us!
LYY shirts on winter sale!
Feeling cold in the winter? No worries, LYY’s shirts will keep you warm!
LYY’s shirts are again available for a limited time in kide.app, so shopping is corona-safe. There are a limited number of shirts, so you should act fast. There’s also a discount on the last shirts of the year: hoodies 29,50€ and sweatshirts 27,50€.
It is possible to order shirts by mail or pick them up from LYY’s office. Order yours by 13.12.!
Miikka Keränen has been chosen as the substitute for LYY’s Secretary General
LYY’s Council of Representatives has elected Mikka Keränen as LYY’s Secretary General’s substitute at its meeting on December 3rd, 2020. Keränen has previously acted as Chair of the Council of Representatives and been active in student organizations.
The Secretary General’s substitute has started work on Monday 7.12.2020.

YTHS 2021
HEY STUDENT OF HIGHER EDUCATION! Your health care services changes on 1.1.2021. The FSHS will provide health care services to all students at universities and universities of applied sciences from the 1st of January 202. The healthcare fee for the services must be paid to Kela starting December 2020.

Are you interested to improve interaction with international and local students and to gain internationalisation competences yourself?
This is a great opportunity to network and gain international working life skills. You will also receive Open Badge and LinkedIn recommendations.

They are looking for 8-10 My Global Story ambassadors for February-July 2021. Training in January.
The tasks include:
- to coordinate internationalisation social media accounts
- inspire student for internationalisation and to share their experiences
- to plan and organise relaxed internationalisation events
